Asylum

21st Century

The buns are moldy
Cat vomit stains smell sour across the halls
The crap is wiped all over bed sheets
Glasses of unsipped milk have curdled
Flesh rots and stinks up the bathtub
Magic clowns foam at the mouth
Scouring rats nibble at helpless toes
Electric chairs are used for torture here, not death
Warped ex-brain surgeons continue to study the art of pain
Lobotomized small children roam cold empty rooms with no reason at all
Static filled TV channels are turned on for the elderly
And forcibly impregnated women toil away in cellars, kept away from the sun
Old dirty masters take care of them, tending to all their needs
The animals are locked up for beating
Tired exhausted and mentally deformed servants are savagely hit as they work
The electricity is dimmed, causing brief strobes of light
The hot water is no more, the clocks have all stopped
And with it
All sense of time.
