Silent Teardrops

21st Century

Silent teardrops dripped down my face
When you told me that you needed your space
Now I am lying awake without you here
I am falling apart without you near

I know I love you with all of my heart
I love you with everything I have
And I've known it from the start

The nights are cold without you
I'm lying here awake
Staring out my window
Losing you was my worst mistake

The day you left me
I didn't know what I was going to do
And here I am still
Lost without you
Falling apart
Here I am with a broken heart

I lie awake in bed
I can still hear your voice in my head
Between living without you or diying
I would rather be dead

Words can't express what you mean to me
Nobody knows how I feel
You stole my heart from me
Only my love for you is real

What happened to all the promises you made me
Your promise to love me forever and never leave
But I guess some can decieve
What's really going on in life

People ask me what I see in you
I turn to them and say everything
They say your not worth my time
After all you put me through
But they don't know what you mean to me
They don't have a clue

Will I ever get over you
Will my life ever be right
Will I ever find the one that means what he says
Will I ever leave the dark
Will I ever find the light
Or will my life be doomed
To a hell of nothingness

So I sit here and pray
That one day you and I
Can be together once more
But until that day I will try to move on
And forget all you have given me
And get on with my life
Even though I know there is no such thing
As getting over you
