Surrendering

By Donna Allard

21st Century

Sand diamonds glisten in the moonlight
Here wine colored seas yearn for the
Kiss of the shore...
Tongue rippling wet and sultry
Against necks of sand
Encircling mounds of salty seaweed

In the eve of the night I become, sand
And my lover, moon...
Nearly hidden by the veil of stars
Surrenders between the fingers of the night
And I at the waters edge
Drift
