Ron Wore Out

By Timothy Bovee

Born 1946

What do you do
With your worn out stuff
Hot blue Mustang
Collecting hushed rust
Under a sweating sun
Sally long gone
Beige damn serious x286
You paid top dollar for
Looks like new
Runs like cold honey
That dead ex-prez

Poor Ron. They like to
Wore your old body
To shreds showing
It off from
Coast to Coast

Frayed running shoes
Empty cigar boxes
Mangled toothpaste tubes
Ashes of a former cat
Relics of a secular saint
