Scoreless

By George Jerone Jefferson

21st Century

Scoreless went for nickel went for a dime
Scoreless usually got flam flip
Push down jack around
With abnormal behavior
Scoreless can't cope
He not able maintain
Watch him run outing self
Scoreless jive
Won't allow him to survive
Monday come Tuesday
Gone on Sunday other side
Scoreless
Rent went up in smoke
All lies told
What it is playing cracks
Rings around jacks
No food, puff-puff's
No loot, puff-puff's
Jones come down, puff up in smoke-
It's scoreless game
Frozen heart close to death
A blue one
Scoreless hit bottom
Scoreless gone
Wait a minute now
Here come another fool
Just try to puff and puff all of their brain out
I guess scoreless born again
The mean while society prepare another
Six feet deep
While much new love one began to weep for score
Of scoreless yet to learn
That drug don't love no one
Dealer don't respect you either
Yet to learn drugs will destroy your very self-image
Your very soul takes your life away
Leaving you not only scoreless
But also
Soulless and lifeless
Life is your drug free trip
So live on enjoy the world
With your mind clear and free
For sky can you reach?
If you learn to believe
