Pollen Pulls a Punch

By William Brendan McPhillips

21st Century

This Spring the pollen turned Gomorra back,
And Sodom saw its reputation fall
When nature in an orgy showed a knack
For more orgasmic reprobative gall.

And all this ovulative opulence
Invades the human cavity as if
Regenerative nature lost its sense,
For such depravity we sneeze and sniff.

And wheeze, and cliff hang on the next, explode.
Perhaps some micro organism's trick
Is ride the pollen into nose and node
To be expelled in running snot and quick.
Conjecture, mind you! Sodom sort of stroke!
A histrionic histaminic joke.
