Heraldric

By Joe Duvernay

21st Century

A rise in interest rate
A loan uncompromising
Tooth and plate un-assailed
Reasoned vile attempt
To post and nail the
Anvil-hunted, head-mistress
Master-smith a consultant chore,
Mime split with reality
That laughs cannot un-shift
To wash and restore banquet effect;
Tan hides lying rent,
To the gallows a chartreuse season,
A plum cloak and royal blue hem
Easter array, the families crest
And mantle
A Charolais hump
Stag-based ear,
What Forez leaned in to say
How evident your loose coat
What will! That set of arms magnificent!
Now detain the meaning
Slay the dreaming
It yells and throws own excrement
And the day, with stars, willows while.
